UptimeNinja is a free Odoo app that brings external website monitoring into Odoo by syncing with UptimeRobot. I built it for agencies and IT teams that manage many client websites: they can see which sites are up or down, response times and SSL expiry dates on one Odoo dashboard, and get alerts in the Odoo inbox.

Why external monitoring?
Server monitoring tells you a machine is running. It does not tell you whether customers can actually open your website from outside. UptimeRobot checks from several global locations, and UptimeNinja shows those results where your team already works.

Features
- HTTP(S), ping, port and keyword checks.
- A live dashboard with uptime percentage, response time and up/down history.
- SSL certificate tracking, so certificates don't expire unnoticed.
- Alerts in the Odoo inbox when a monitor goes down.
- Public status pages and maintenance windows.
- Two-way sync: create monitors in Odoo or import them from UptimeRobot, refreshed every 10 minutes.
What the free UptimeRobot plan covers
The free plan gives up to 50 monitors at 5-minute intervals and one basic status page, and every UptimeNinja feature works with it. Maintenance windows, 1-minute checks and more monitors need a paid UptimeRobot plan.
Setup
- Create an UptimeRobot account and add your websites.
- Copy your Main API key from Integrations & API.
- Install UptimeNinja and paste the key in Settings.
- Import your monitors from the Monitors menu.
